How to use favorites, notes, and thumbnails
Beyond tags, Brolla gives you a few more ways to make a clip easy to spot and recall. You’ll find all of these on a result in the Search tab.
Favorites
Choose Add to favorites to star a clip. Later, flip on the Favorites toggle in Search to show only favorited assets. It’s a quick way to keep your best shots within reach.
Notes
Choose Add note (or Edit note if one exists) to jot down anything you want to remember about a clip. Notes are searchable, just like tags, so a note like “client approved” can be found later. Press ⌘/Ctrl+Enter to save.
Renaming a clip
Choose Rename to change the name you see and search by. This renames only the friendly name inside Brolla. The file on disk keeps its original name, so nothing is moved or altered on your drive.
Custom thumbnails
If the auto-picked frame isn’t the best preview, you can set your own. Choose Crop thumbnail · 16:9 to frame a nicer crop, or Set thumbnail to choose the frame you want. A good thumbnail makes Gallery view much easier to scan.
