The free plan

Everyone starts on Brolla’s free plan, which gives you one library with up to 50 assets. An asset is any single file you add — a video, an audio clip or an image. Fifty is plenty to get a feel for how Brolla helps you find and reuse your b-roll.

In Settings ▸ License you’ll see your tier shown as Free (limited), so you always know where you stand.

What a license unlocks

A license lifts the limits: you get unlimited libraries and unlimited assets. That means you can keep separate libraries for different clients or projects, and add as many clips as you like. With a license active, your tier shows as Unlimited.

Everything else about the app stays the same — a license simply removes the caps so a growing archive never gets in your way.

Your files are always safe

This is important: even if you reach the 50-asset limit on the free plan, nothing is ever locked away or deleted. Your files stay exactly where they are and remain yours. You simply can’t add more until you free up space or move to a license.

A note on the research preview

Brolla is currently in a free research preview while we refine it with creators like you. Paid plans and key activation are rolling out gradually. Whether you’re enjoying the free plan today or activating a license key, the basics above stay the same — the free tier is always there as your starting point.
