Importing copies existing video, audio, or image files straight into your library, untouched — no re-encoding.

Step 1 – Open Import Assets

In the sidebar, click Import Assets.

Step 2 – Add tags first

Type tags like sunset, b-roll, city (Enter or comma to add). They apply to every file in this import.

Step 3 – Choose files

Click Choose files… or drag and drop. MP4, MOV, MP3, WAV, M4A, images and more are supported; unsupported files are skipped.

Step 4 – Review

Brolla shows a per-file summary. Switch to Search to find your new assets.

First import only: Brolla downloads FFmpeg once to generate thumbnails.
