How to install Brolla on a Mac
Download Brolla
Head to brolla.app and download Brolla for Mac. Your browser will save a file ending in `.dmg` — usually to your Downloads folder. This is just the installer; you can delete it once Brolla is in place.
Open the installer and drag Brolla in
Double-click the `.dmg` file you downloaded. A small window opens showing the Brolla icon next to a shortcut to your Applications folder. Drag the Brolla icon onto the Applications folder to copy it across.
That’s the install done. You can now close that window and eject the installer (drag it to the Trash, or click the eject arrow next to it in Finder).
First launch
Open your Applications folder and double-click Brolla to start it. The first time you open it, your Mac may ask you to confirm you want to open it — that’s normal for a freshly downloaded app. Once it opens, you’ll see the welcome screen, ready to create your first library.
The one-time video-tools download
Brolla uses a set of video tools behind the scenes to make thumbnails and to export your trimmed clips. The first time you do something that needs them — like viewing a thumbnail or exporting a clip — Brolla quietly downloads these tools once. It only happens the first time, so give it a moment, and you won’t be asked again.
